All of the lights!

Turn up the lights in here baby.  Extra bright, I want y'all to see this!  Yeah you know the song. =)

Last week, I had the opportunity to capture a few good photographs.

This was a bit different from what I've been doing lately (see my previous blogs here and here).

I wasn't sure if I was going to like it.  Days before the shoot, I researched the different types of poses and to be honest, I was sweatin' it.  I haven't done this type of photography for about a year.

How was I going to pose the models?

Will I be able to articulate what I want them to do?

Will I be able to capture them at their best?

Well, all the worries went out the window.  Everyone was enjoyable to work with.  They made it all easy for me.  All I had to worry about is making sure I have the correct exposure!

I hope y'all enjoyed the shoot as much as I did!  I learned a few photography tips that day. Special thanks to models Klaire Young, Andrew Biro, Jerry Rodriguez and Elisa Levay.  Also special thanks to photographers Daniel and Britt for tips and use of their lights!

It's only natural...

For the past several weekends, I've been out and about; meeting new people, hiking, and taking more pictures.  This blog shows some of the images that I've captured.

Have fun with the quotes!

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
Albert Einstein

If one way be better than another, that you may be sure is nature's way.
Aristotle

The flower in the vase smiles, but no longer laughs.
Malcolm De Chazal

In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous.
Aristotle

Love is the answer, and you know that for sure; Love is a flower, you've got to let it grow.
John Lennon

Earth laughs in flowers.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Enough with the quotes.  Gears from a lost civilization?

A predator in the urban jungle!

Let me end this with Mr. Burns saying, "Exxxcelllent!"

Two weeks old and counting...

Yeah baby!  I mean that literally...

At  two weeks old, I was given the opportunity to photograph this little bundle of joy, Jolie.

Hmmmm.  It would be interesting to have one of my own.  Hehe.  Take note wifey!  (By the way, wifey was holding the baby below.)

This photoshoot was about one hour long using natural light in a well lit room.

I went in the session not knowing what to expect but to my surprise Jolie was very cooperative.

I researched different kinds of poses days before entering this photo session and was able to capture what I wanted.

Jolie's grandmother entered the room, picked up the baby and wanted a picture with her.   I had a great time taking these semi-candid photos.

Towards the end, Jacob (Jolie's brother) was able to join in the fun.

He was a little shy at first.  Everyone was pretty much staring at him and telling him to pose with his sister.  Haha.  But knowing Jacob from the previous photo session, I knew I was able to snap a few good pictures.

At the end of the photo session, I thought it would be a good idea to get a few photos of Jacob right in front of the glass door.

It was a good day!

I urge you to take photos of your little ones, they'll appreciate them when they get older!  If you want to book a photo session, please let me know.  I'm easy to work with. =)
