Car + Sunset = Photoshoot

That's what I shot late yesterday afternoon.  I tried making a witty introduction prior to posting a picture but I couldn't find one.  Anyway, we were planning to shoot this car for the past month.  Due to scheduling conflict, the session's been swept under the rug.  This was an impromptu 50 minute photoshoot.

I was walking out of work and I saw my friend's car parked in a nice spot.  The sun was just right for a few early sunset shots.  Luckily I brought my camera for a scheduled sunset photoshoot.  I skipped the sunset appointment and shot this instead.  Besides, the sky was very cloudy and hazy.

A few minutes later, my friend finally got out of work and moved his car for a nice angled shot.

Remar, what about the details???  Here you go!

Not bad for a 3-hour project (50min photoshoot + 130min post processing)!  In this session, I used my 100mm; no tripod or monopod.  I shot a few HDR shoots and played a lot with Depth of Field (DoF).  It was shot under natural light.  I wish I had my complete off-camera-flash gear with me.  If we stayed much longer, I would have played with the car's head lights.  Overall, the car was in acceptable condition.  I did make a mistake by not inspecting the car carefully for any possible removable debris.  Check out the car's front bumper.  There's a leaf stuck in the middle of it.  I could have fixed it in post processing if I was getting paid for this.  Hehe.

If I have another opportunity, I'll use my wide angle for the car interior night shots.  Minh, setup a schedule!

Dear Reader, if you want a car photo session with me.  Let me know via Facebook.  We can negotiate compensation then.

That's all for now.  I hope you enjoyed the pictures and short story.
