Hobbyist on a mission...

"A hobbyist on a mission to rise above the lovers of photography." -Remar Balatero

I've been sitting here for a good five minutes thinking about the statement above.  It's a lot of pressure!  I've been shooting for about four years but seriously honing my photography skills for almost a year now.  A friend of mine, a fellow photographer, introduced me to Tri-Community Photography Center.  I've never looked back since then.  My appreciation of photography has grown enormously.  Thankfully my wife has been very supportive throughout this ordeal.

Anyway, this is my first blog and blog post!  I started this because I was thinking of getting serious with photography....building a Portfolio (wanna be my subject? hehe), creating a FaceBook (thanks Wifey!), setting up Twitter (not done), and raising a blog (ugh..).

WHAT WAS I THINKING!?!?  This is a lot of work!  It requires a lot of research about anything and everything...from learning fb/twitter, shooting locations, subject poses, lens selection, legal red tape, and personality improvement.  Let's face it, I'm usually the quiet and shy type, the introvert.  I have to change this.  Got an app for that?

Let's end this post.  This blog is my mind's eye.  I'll post my photography thoughts, photo session summary, and the bumps/bruises trying to fulfill my mission.

Let me give you a taste of my genius (the start of my personality adjustment).
